Twitter Updates for 2009-07-15
Probably the last for a while, as my Twitter account was suspended today, several hours after I livetweeted a Greek parliament session to enact unconstitutional surveillance legislation. It was restored within 2 hours, after a short but frenetic campaign by friends & followers , but I’ll refrain from using the plugin for now so as not to give Twitter any reasons for a repeat performance. It’s worth noting that my request ticket was closed immediately upon posting but no explanation is forthcoming yet as to the reason of the suspension, but I’ll keep on probing. At any rate, I don’t think my posting habits had anything to do with it; Twitter is notoriously bad at filtering spammers and getting worse at it each week, and the timing of my suspension hints at possible censorship (a notion which I’ll be happy to discount once Twitter provides an explanation for the suspension).
