I am all for Ubuntu, but it's quite upsetting that the only viable way for Linux to actually become a real player in the home-os market seems to be spaced-out Zillionaires.

Just a thought: Wouldn't it be a lot easier if Mark actually bought Microsoft?

PS. "PS: Still no miniposts facility for blogentis, but there are ways to go about them..." - That's bitching...

Heh, eloquently put; apart from that and the fact that Shuttleworth seems too good to be true sometimes, as long as he keeps to the straight and narrow -upholding the spirit of Ubuntu and the basic tenets of the Free Software ideology- I wouldn't worry too much (at least, I try not to; I'm still a sid afficionado at heart, although Ubuntu is my current Linux desktop distro). Don't forget that, although his biography doesn't specifically mention it, he's been a DD since the 90's.

As for anyone from the FOSS world buying MS, I value diversity too much to feel comfortable with such a thought. Besides, I should think they'd be tainted within a financial quarter :-p

PS^3: No, that's constructive criticism and a much needed feature request ;-p

See how easy life can be? You didn't have to wreck my page formatting ;-)
PS: I'm aware of the distro trends, they've been the talk of the Linux community this past month.

No problem.

You're allowed to edit my posts if you will.

Uh, is that a blogentis feature request ..or more bitching? :-p
Can't really edit comments in blogentis (at present?), only reformat and repost them. I promise not to "edit" comments for content, though, just for presentation, if needed.

Btw, the blogentis hunting season is open: feature request / bitching has been officially greenlighted by the man 'imself... as long as we post requests on the tracker too.
