ανακοινώθηκαν οι νικητές των φετινών
Ανάμεσα στους φετινούς νικητές:
- Best Novel – “Paladin of Souls” by Lois McMaster Bujold
- Best Novella – “The Cookie Monster” by Vernor Vinge
- Best Novelette – “Legions in Time” by Michael Swanwick
- Best Short Story – “A Study in Emerald” by Neil Gaiman

εγγραφή στο blog του περιγράφει μιά σκηνή από την απονομή με το δικό του
χαρακτηριστικό τρόπο:
My favorite moment on the stage this evening was Robert Silverberg
reminiscing about 50 years of Hugo Awards. He’s been to all of them. In
the photos I’ve seen, the younger Bob Silverberg used to look like Jesus.
When I first met him, over twenty years ago, he looked rather like I imagine
the Devil must look. Now, in his Grand Masterhood, with his beard pure white,
he looks rather like God. It’s dead impressive.
Συστήνει επίσης σε όσους υποφέρουν από “άγχος
υποψηφιότητας” σε τέτοιες απονομές να επιδιώκουν να αναλαμβάνουν και τον ρόλο
του τελετάρχη!
