Ultimate framework or ultimate buzzword trap?
Keel is an Open Source meta-framework based on Apache Avalon, that aspires to provide a consistent interface through which you can configure and use different application frameworks to handle the various aspects of web application development (such as user interface, database, messaging, security). Watch this space for more on Keel, as I investigate this new marvel of Component Oriented Programming.
My discovery of Keel is either terribly auspicious or terribly suspicious, as it came right at the moment when I was boggled with myriads of choices on Open Source components and frameworks for every aspect of web application development. We’ll see how it turns out..
